Yesterday, Thursday 5/1/2023, the Premiere of the play ROBIN HOOD took place with great success, from the Experimental Stage in the Amphitheater of the Kalamata Labor Center in the presence of the author of the play Mr. Andreas Flourakis.
The spectators enthusiastically applauded, in the packed hall, the children of the theater group who cheerfully gave their best.
The writer was delighted with the children’s performance and the presentation. He told us that Robin Hood which it is his favorite work and assured us that he was more pleased with our performance than he was by the first one organized by the Culture Theater of Athens in 2017.
We talked about his new play "Heidi and the Mountains" which is being played at the National Theater and we made an appointment to go on a Sunday trip to Athens with the kids to see it.
After the end of the performance, the children, the actors, the author and the members of the Board of Directors had dinner at the MANGIONA restaurant and also cut the theater group's New Year’s cake pie.
The lucky winner of the coin was Sofia Dascaroli, and the gift corresponding to the coin was the book "If You Come Like the Wind" (“Αν έρθεις σαν τον Άνεμο”), by the multi-award winning author in teenage literature, Jacqueline Woodson.
The performance is still presenting until Sunday 8/1 at 8.30 at the Ergatiko Kentro.
On Wednesday at 10.00 in the morning there will also be a performance for Primary School students.
