The 1st Kalamata Panhellenic Puppet Theater Festival took place May 12-16, 2017 in the hall of DI.PE.THE. Kalamata, 9 groups with 19 puppeteers took part, 15 shows were presented, 5 seminars were organized with 7 trainers in which 70 adults took part. In addition, an open theater puppet making workshop for children was organized in the OSE Park. The performances in the morning were attended by 1.800 students, and in the afternoon by 800 spectators, while 25 volunteers helped in the organization.
