MERLIN PUPPET THEATER
«Clown’s Houses»
Puppet show, Duration: 60', Ages: 15+
PERFORMANCE:
SATURDAY May 287th at 20.00, Municipal & Regional Theatre of Kalamata

The performance
One building, five apartments and six main characters. Comedic tragic personalities, who live a miserable life that they are not afraid to lose but are afraid to live. The viewer watches them live conventionally in a dark, claustrophobic setting, with their fears, obsessions and loneliness. The "Merlin" dramatizes and demonizes their obsessions until they are finally punished and released in the most violent way.
Artists do not attempt to make existential analysis through their work. They dramatize the modern way of life in its current form. The loneliness of modern man is projected through the dark rooms of "Clowns’ Houses", houses like a prison, people trapped in their routines and habits, far from their dreams.
