The 4th Kalamata Panhellenic Puppet Festival has been postponed from May 10-17, 2020 to October 4-18, 2020 due to the covid 19 Pandemic. The performances took place in the atrium foyer of the Spiritual Center of Kalamata. Despite all the adversities, 16 troupes participated, with 40 puppeteers. 19 performances, 3 workshops and a puppet show were presented. At the same time, in collaboration with the Directorate of Primary Education, started the first puppet theater school. For the school were organized 6 seminars on the subject of the theatrical puppet and its role in the classroom. 41 volunteers helped in the organization. The morning performances were attended by 300 students from 5 schools in the city, while over 1,000 people enjoyed all the activities. The 4th Panhellenic Kalamata Puppet Theater Festival was the only one held in Greece, giving a breath of support to the artists and a strong dose of optimism to all the residents of our region.
